Job Description
Responsible for the execution of day to day transportation operations and project management activities within a Global Transportation Team. Tasks and duties will vary based on changing priorities and missions. Duties include projects, shipment track and trace, vendor relations, customer service, carrier performance reporting, metric management, reporting and information dissemination, and leading task/project oriented meetings.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute projects as per Managers requests/instructions
  • Execute project plans to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure SOPS, SWIs, processes are documented, updated and properly communicated to reflect customers needs clearly to carriers & 3PLs
  • Coordinate with multiple warehouses, carriers, and service providers to solve problems.
  • Work closely with Command Center to identify trending carrier issues for resolution
  • Monitor Transport ticket flows ensuring quick response and resolution
  • Analyze performance data and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Manage and negotiate ongoing delivery issues/opportunities
  • Ability to create and provide presentations on performance levels to vendors and customer
  • Proactive approach to cost saving, consolidation, and on-time performance initiatives
  • Facilitate regular meetings with Carriers/3PL's/Suppliers
  • Support other Team members when applicable
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of transportation and logistics experience.
  • Dutch & English Speaker required
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands
  • Experience working with AI systems desirable
  • Experience with air, road, and ocean transportation desirable
  • High-tech or Critical Logistics experience a plus
  • Dynamic personality; comfortable speaking in public. Accustomed to leading meetings with customers, vendors and key stakeholders
  • Multitask and re-prioritize work as needed
  • Ability to anticipate issues/negative outcomes and work to resolve proactively
  • Strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic environment
  • Aptitude for learning new software applications and technology platforms
  • Highly motivated, results-driven attitude
Additional Information
Logistics operations background required. Effective communication skills, Import & Export background, attention to detail, strong knowledge of excel (google sheets), power-point (google slide) required. Ability to read and understand data. Out of box thinking and ready for anything attitude.
